I still like 69 Chevelles. In 1969 States side, our barracks parking lot looked like a Chevy dealership.
9 Chevelles and one 35 Ford.

On Car Purchases, I bought a BMW2002 New in April 1970 through my Credit Union for $4152.00 (my loan payment was $51.00 a month).  I drove that car for 374,000 miles then while I was putting money aside for an overhaul, it was Stripped by thieves while I was on a four day trip out of town.

I sold the carcase for $200.00 to a car dismantler.

I really liked that car.

Best Regards,
Chev. William

I have never seen the Hubalek machine rest. Could someone post a picture of one? It could be a history lesson for all of us.

My first car was a 1969 Chevelle.  I paid cash $2650.00, but it was my pay from 68-69 that I earned as a Marine grunt in Nam. There wasn't any place to spend it in Nam.

1969 Chevelle SS396 was also my first new car. Paid for in a similar manner. Got to Nam in '70. Being in the USN, lots of places to spend money in Olongapo City every month or three if one were so inclined. Then as now, not much of a drinker, which saved me a whole pile of cash.

Not so sure the current prices on SS rifles will hold up unless we get some of the 'black rifle' crowd to move on to SS. Am not 'investing' in rifles. Buy what I want for my shooting pleasure. When it is time to sell, just hope the wife gets a fair price. Wink

price of the gun is not bad when you think about what you spend in ammo to feed it during its life Smiley I would hope some of the black rifle crowd would see that and convert.
