I have several #2 rollers and have searched for an original tang sight for years. In the mean time I have used different sights that I have modified with some success. Recently I was talking with Jim Geir at MVA and he mentioned that he was now making an adapter that matches the contour of the upper tang and allows the mounting of a MVA base on the #2 without the issue of the concave tang. I have two in the shop and have them mounted on rifles, they come with longer mounting screws and are nicely polished and blued. One has a MVA #130 mounted and the other a MVA Soule Schuetzen, what an improvement. If you have a #2 and are looking for a tang sight that is top quality check out these sights and call MVA about the adapter. It is possible that this adapter would also allow other tang sights with the Remington spacing to be mounted on a #2 as well.

I just finished cleaning up a #2; needed some parts and had Dave Crossno replace a broken extractor and also reline the barrel in .22lr. Left the original finish. How much sight staff is needed to reach 200yds for a tang sight? john
