Reloader's reference, the best free loading manual on the planet, to create a one stop resource for all things reloading and casting.

The program is in association with Cast Boolits on the Cast Pics link. It is a down-loadable program to your computer.  In order to run the program, you must have Microsoft Access installed on your computer.

The data loads by caliber are voluminous and all come from multiple published sources.  The program includes the following:

* Powder Company Manuals
* Reloading Manuals
* Surplus Powder Data
* Cast Bullet Data Lookup  +add your own
* Cartridge Data Lookup  + add your own
* Shotshell Data Lookup  + add your own
* Surplus Data Lookup
* Bullet SD & BC Lookup
* Factory Ammo Lookup
* Water Capacities
* Cartridge Dimensions
* Twist Rate Calculations
* Wind Drift Calculator
* Powley Calculator
* Trajectory Calculator
* Barsness Ballistics Math
* Shooters Calculator.com
* Load Lookup by Powder
And in the program Much Much More such as:
* Reference Dropdown loaded with all kinds of goodies, ie. Powder Profiles
* A-Z Fireams Manuals
* Inventory for your stuff: basically everything in your reloading room including your firearms, powder, dies, molds, powder, etc
* Targets
* Maintenance where you can import your spreadsheets to the main program.  Example, I keep my lead inventory by alloy and brass inventory there

I have been using the program for close to 2 years.  When you down load the program, be sure to include your email address because you will receive all the updates

Has this been verified?  Not to question you personally but my anti-virus program alerted me to the application being from an unknown source.

I had lots of trouble trying to down load that program. It also said I had to up date 7 drivers and that would cost me 20 - $30.

So, I back tracted and found you can run it online and looked at some of it that way.

Cajun, does the link have a certificate, ergo 'an unknown source'? No, but the program was written and maintained by Wiljen who is one of the Administrators for Castpics & Cast Boolits

Tried to run it but I don't have MS-Access.  I thought it installed a runtime version.  Must be why the error looking for C:\test1\coredate.mdb occurs.   Never mind, I'll cope.

What is the level of security and possible access by unknown parties via the "* Maintenance where you can import your spreadsheets to the main program"?

While you wouldn't need to use that part, some might be leary about others data-mining the "* Inventory for your stuff: basically everything in your reloading room including your firearms, powder, dies, molds, powder, etc".

BP ... with the program downloaded to your computer and you HAVE an anti-virus program with a fire wall that is current, your data files cannot be hacked.

My complete finances in Quicken, my links to bank & credit card are on my computer ... all running under 3 security programs: AVAST - MalWare and SpyBot

Besides, with no security on your computer, hackers want your bank - credit card information and your SSN

What security program with a firewall & ant-virus do you have running on your computer?  And when was the last time you ran the program to scan your register and data files for Trojans?

I have used Reloaders Reference for a few years.  At first it ran without MS Access,  but then would not work at all.  I liked the program enough to buy Access and all runs well.  Until I saw John Boy's  post I did not know there was an update,  I just figured "Wiljen" got tired of the project or had "shot his last target" so to speak.
I  use it mainly for the inventory database so if I kick off unexpectedly, someone will know what all this stuff is worth and where it came from.   The version I have from 2008 has alot of features I don't utilize but they are there if I need them.  I'll download new one and see what's new.  Thanks for the update JB

looks like the new version is the same one that has been around  awhile.    The online version fills in some of the gaps the downloaded version.

The web site opened for me a few hours ago. I downloaded the file. My virus protection alerted me to a virus. I just tried to open the link again and now I get an "Oops...Link doesn't exist!" message.

Be careful out there. The person that wrote the page might have the best of intentions, but those hack bastard can worm their way into files like this.

I just saw on their Twitter account that they were having issues this AM. Seems to be working OK now. But these types of large files that want to live on your hard drive scare the hell out of me!
