Distant Thunder Gun Parts?

Been trying for a couple weeks to get anyone to answer the phones at Distant Thunder. They have no answering machine, so can't leave a message either. Also sent email, but got no response to that either. Does anyone know what's going on at their place, or if they are still in business?
Still trying to get a Ballard two piece extractor, but no luck.

Maybe he's out shooting?  I know that the owner was posting on the Shiloh forum not too long ago.  I've been meaning to order one of his canted front sights.

That would be quite a shooting match! It's been a couple weeks of trying.

Could be hunting. Am having Classic rebore/rifle a barrel for me and he was a way 10-days for his mule deer & elk hunt.

Could be. I hope that's the answer. I'd rather be doing other gun work than making the two piece extractor; but I will if I have to at some point.

Got a email from Jim at Distant Thunder today! He was on vacation last week, so getting the extractor soon! Thanks to "buchsenmacher" for helping me get ahold of Jim!

Received my two piece extractor from Distant Thunder yesterday! Extremely well made, and took minor fitting to put it into my #3 and get it working!

Not a cream puff, but it did clean up nicely, and wood is very solid. Extra heavy barrel, which is unusual on a late concave top receiver. The barrel actually hangs over the concave top a bit, and is serial numbered to the gun.

I'm glad to hear you got it done, Vall. How long is the barrel and how good is the bore? A few more pictures?

The barrel is 24", and bore shows typical black powder corrosion, but haven't shot it yet to see how well it shoots.

Has all the original #3 sights, and standard features, with the exception of the barrel weight.
