THANKS,  Just ordered one.     in one year I've gone from no 25-20s to 3 in various stages of completion,  should be an interesting ride.

I ordered one too.  Being the tenth to order made it a go.  I see one more after me as of yesterday afternoon.

I should be checking the NOE forum more often!  But for the heads-up here I woulda missed it.  Thanks !

The NOE 258 120Gr. FN is a Go per post by Swede Nelson (Mr NOE).  If others want the mold, post that you want it & what.
To keep current of when the molds will be available, might want to click on Notify on ... (You need to Login or Register to view media files and links)

In addition, log onto Swede's NOE mold site and if you are a 1st time buyer, create an account for yourself ...

In addition to a 25-20 reload, am going to try it in the 25-21 and see how it does at 300yds.  The heaviest weight I've found for the 25-21 in Sharpe's manual is 100grs

So if a guy were to order a plain base version for breech seating probably for a Douglas barrel would it be best to order the .260 diameter version.

I don't own a quarter bore yet but thinking real hard about jumping on the wagon. And it wouldn't be the first time that I have bought a mold before I had anything to shoot it in!

Check with Douglas, most 25 cal barrels are .257. For BSing, I would still get the .258 mold with a .258 groove, see what diameter it casts, how it shoots and if necessary open the base band to cast .259 ( #G, .261 reamer).

I went back and looked at NOE's web site and see that the diameters are listed as in using wheel weights I wonder how much difference there would be in the diameters if 20/1 were used instead of wheel weights?

On the brass molds that I have, in 270, 30 and 33, 22/1 casts about .0002 larger than WW dia on the drawing.

Well I'll be dang! I would have bet that  22/1 would have cast smaller, more tin maybe? I know that the newer type of wheel weights don't seem to have much tin in them. The older ones, harder ones seem cast better I guessed might have a bit more tin but just guessing here.

Thanks anyway.

If you got your email from Swede - order now because he only made enough molds that were subscribed for.
