I am in the process of building a replica of a large action Stevens Sideplate rifle. I have most of the metal work done and now I am thinking about the stock for it. Does anyone out there have a large action sideplate that I could get an outline of the stock and forearm from? Since the sideplate was the predecessor of the Stevens 44 action I suppose that the stocks were pretty close in design, yes, no? I would prefer the sideplate to the 44 if at all possible.
