Is there a good reference book out there to identify old rifle sights such as Marbles.

I've Probably got the newer version of the above. It has the Old sights and also the Scopes too.

The newer version with both sights and scopes is handier. The early version was two books, one for sights and one for scopes. I have both and there are some things that are in one and not the other so having both can be a plus. I would not take the price values as gospel but they are a treasure source of information.

The old Stoeger catalogs are pretty good.

Yep. I bought the combined book assuming that it had ALL the information from both books in it. NOT.
Got rid of it post-haste and re-obtained the separate books. They are about the best single source reference you can find, but they're not perfect, so having other references like the Stoeger and old Lyman catalogs, etc. is a good idea if you do much with old scopes and old sights, as most of us old rifle loonies do Wink

There is an old Gerald Kelver book of gunsights and loading tools directed specifically at the single shot community.  It's long out of print but shows up regularly at gun shows and on flea-bay.  I would not get this instead of Stroebel's book, but in addition to.
