Surely Ballard Arms had inventory when they ceased to do business, I wonder if and when it will appear on the market.  Parts are very hard to find.  I wonder who was casting the Farrow buttplates for them.

Good question Phil! With Ballard gone, and possibly Wyoming Armory closed, it's getting impossible to find parts for any old Ballard projects, short of making everything from scratch!
I've got a #3 here I'm trying to replace a two piece extractor on, and looks like I'll end up pulling them from another #3 to copy.

Marlinguy,

Try an advert in this Forum asking for either a machine drawing of the part(s) or asking if anyone has one for sale. After all it is free of charge, so you have nothing to loose. If there is knowledge around, it will most likely be here.  Undecided  Grin

I had the same thoughts on The parts from Ballard Arms. I sent a registered letter to them last year, which they received, but never had a response. I was willing to fly and pack up whatever was left. A few months later, I heard a rumor that Wyoming Armory bought their existing inventory and never saw or heard anything additional.

It's a shame ...

Wyoming Armory is not closed, unless it has happened in the past few days. Their lack of response was the result of the fiber-optic cable being cut (contractor error) to their end of Cody. Give them a call.

Thanks Harry! I don't really need a drawing, as I've got 3-4 other #3's to pull the parts from and use as patterns. But I would like to just buy the parts, and save my time for other stuff I'm working on around home! I'll try an ad for the 2 piece extractor and see if anything pops up here.

Thanks! Must have been cut for a long time, as it's been weeks since anyone has been able to get an answer there. I'll try calling them, and see if they have the extractor, before I put an ad here for the pair.

Still not answering the phones at Wyoming Armory. Went to an answering machine after about 10 rings, and left a message, but previous messages haven't been answered, so we'll see.

From what I understand, email is most effective to get a hold of wy armory.

I imagine they have a lot of catching up to do due to the lines being cut. I reckon in this instance, patience will be mandatory.

That's what their website says, but I do not believe it  Grin.

I'm sure that they are super busy like any good shop, but I'd keep trying the phone if I were you.

I wondered the same thing about Lonestar Rifles. There must have been parts in the shop, but no one seems to know what became of them. I'd like to get hold of a set of single set trigger parts for one of my 1 1/2 Rollers. At this point there are no such parts available anywhere.

I too have tried getting hold of Wyoming armory several times this week with no results. Anyone know what's going on with them. If its a cut cable, it must be coming covered wagon from St. Louis.

The rumor I heard, is that if you're a born again christian, want to start the business back up essentially like dave ran it, and have cash, the inventory might be available.

The best way to find out if you're seriously interested in the business would be to politely contact Daves widow with a letter.

dave

Huh? Can you expand on that a little, Dave?

Ballard Arms or Wyoming Armory? I don't know who Dave or the family is.
