	So Gabi won our recent .22, 100 Yard match, and so I've been on the hunt for a rifle for her. Found this little gem yesterday and took it home. Also came with a Winchester A5 scope, and a nice one at that. No irons, but that will be rectified.

	That front rest looks just like the one I had!! The barrel is stamped 32-40, was it sleeved for 22 LR? That is a beautiful high wall, hope it shoots good. She must have a great husband to buy her a first class rifle..... Van aka catmasher

	Yes Bill it has a 22 liner. Originally a 32/40 with a #4 barrel, re-lined by C. C. Johnson. Original takedown system. Wood, palm rest, and dst's I do not think are original. BUT operates beautifully. Really wish the sights were there . The rifle shot very well today, but I have some chamber issues ill get worked out. Gonna keep cleaning it and workin it out. 	Pretty nice rifle John. It looks like she will greatly enjoy shooting that puppy. It is too late now. All the Schuetzen shooters wives generally out shoot their husbands. Great to see the fabulous addition to the family.

	I don't doubt it a bit. She wants to shoot it so bad she said she thinks she can shoot it OH! (It's friggin HEAVY) Gonna have to start feedin her more John

	Think the palm rest and hardware are original, John. Might be original wood with freshed checkering. Hard to tell. Inlay in the forestock looks like horn. I have a match reamer. Going to the election day match at Springfield? Joe.

	Very hard to tell pa. It is old wood in my opinion. I'll do more research on win. Palm rests. The inlay is strange to me, only ever seen ebony on a HW, but it's not. Horn makes sense. Sure is a nice rifle, wish it were mine, lol. Gabi is positively giddy about it! Makes me smile. Let me know when you're free dad, I'll come up. I need to go by Chucks anyway. Not till after this week though, I have business needs to be tended to. John boy
