Many of us have gone to cast bullet spitzers which are less sensitive to the wind for the 200 yard competitions and require more velocity to stabilize them out to 300 yards.

Flat noses will be a bit more stable out to 300 yards but with increased velocity you have less time for the bullet to be pushed by the wind. 
I would still try about 1550 fps with the flat nose cast bullets as well using smokeless powder.

Or bump up to 1,300 to 1,350 fps with FFFg black powder for this caliber.
