Bobduck,
Would that be Bigfork, Montana? I have a friend in Swan Lake and I get down that way every 2-3 years for a visit. I'd like to bring my CPA 38-55 down for a try when I get it put together.

Sorry I've been slow responding to you, I was out of town for a week.
Yes, it is Bigfork, MT. My wife and I have an art gallery in downtown Bigfork.
I do this informal shoot every year the end of September into early October. I go over to the homestead for about a week and others come for part of this time.
If you're interested in coming some year get ahold of me. It's 37 miles north of Chester, MT and about 1 1/2 miles south of the Canadian border. There is about 5 acres of camping right from where we shoot. I have six permanent targets from 340 yards to 1000. We also put up some temporary targets while we are there.
This year I'm putting up an 8 ft x 8 ft plywood backing so we can shoot groups at 750 yards.
I'm also building a "bunkhouse" for those who don't have a camper. It's just and 8 ft x 10 ft building with four bunks in it. I'll use it for storage when we're not there. Also a temporary "outhouse". Tents don't work over there because occasionally it gets very windy.
I'm leaving for this year's trip on Saturday and will return on October 5th. I'll post about the shoot and maybe more video or pictures.
This invitation is open to anyone who is interested in having an opportunity to do some long range shooting in an informal atmosphere. This is not just a range but an area to shoot. We can shoot in an 180 degree arc from straight north around to the east to straight south so more than one type of shooting can be done at the same time. The nearest neighbor in the directions we shoot is 2 3/4 miles away.
I know it's very isolated but that adds to the adventure.
Anyone interested in joining me in the future get in contact.
