breech seating depth

Being new to this, I came across a previous post that had a illustration on a method on how to determine the above.

I went thru this exercise on my Pedersoli RB in 45-70 using a 300 grain bullet. The space between the cartridge mouth and the bullet base will be close to 1/4". Anybody see any issues with that large a space?

No I've run up to 1/2" between the charge column and the bullet base.

Check your link. When I click on it I get an error
