CMM

I hope that you will be able to post photos of the rifles and their owners, for those of us that will not be able to attend.

CMM, your banter is like water off a ducks back. You have all the money, we will pay in single shots, loading tools, lead, and SR4759. Our empty trailer will return to the Grand Ole Valley quite full of your precious currency. Froggie, is my trusted shotgun rider, carries a London marked WC Scott 10 ga, and a trusty DA Colt 45. The steerer, thats me, will be carrying a roller sporter,  and a 1911 carried by my Grandpa in France in 1917.
Oh and we will tote a couple fare to middlin" Maynards for long distsnce threats. Forward, Ho!!!!

I would say that you have a good challenge coming up at the match. But not to take sides as I have not any of you folks, may the best shot win.

Mr CMM,

Remember, there are still a lot of Unreconstructed Rebels; we didn't surrender, we made a strategic advance to the rear so we could reload.  If we could make it all the way to Gettysburg about 150 years ago, Thurmont, MD should be a walk in the park.  Besides, now I've got a "captured" Yankee Maynard and lots of ammo for it!  Grin

"PUNT GUN" Webb Jules Verne Creedmoor Match, we have LAWS against whatever you been partaking. Them ain't feathered creatures you been shootin' at, likely just explained a lot of the goins' on in the Ukraine and other places. CNN blasts "CMM blasted off another blast of hot air today bringing down a jet at 30K feet", original reports gave the credit to Russian Rebels, before sources finally revealled the real culprit." "obama said to be extremely proud to know CMM personally".

Frog and I are humbled to have made such a national celeb notice us. By the way, I been shooting Maynards since before it was cool to be shooting Mayanrds. Highwalls and Hepburns are for sissys. ya'll stay chilly now, mh

One of the principal 'southern' Maynard cranks (aka Deadeye Bly) is out west with me where he shot a 29 in day-1 of the .22BPCR nats at Raton with his "all-original" 1882 Model 15 rifle and is tied for 2nd in AAA. John cleaned both the pigs & turkeys due to some superlative spotting. Wink Maybe tomorrow he can 'bring home the bacon' and win the day and aggregate.

I hope Tim, (a.k.a.) "Cat Whispered"), and his lovely bride, will come North out of Virginia to partake of some serious schuetzen competition with us next weekend and add to the fun and to fan the fray.

Has anyone seen the Tin-man lately ?  He must be out on a gritter hunt ?

Tim the Tin Man made the trek to Gretna for the Saturday events of the recent October Schuetzenfest.  He is alive and well and experimenting with strange guns in SW VA, and even got around to shooting a (GASP) 22 RF at the Chimquapin event!  Shocked Who'da thunk it?

Thank You  to everyone who attended and participated yesterday in the first Maynard Match at Thurmont, Maryland.  The weather was fine, but the competitors were the folks who made it all possible, and for that, I congratulate each of you.  So, thanks Charlie a.k.a."Froggie", Dave v H. , Mike, & Chris.

A note of special thanks and gratitude is sent to Allen for his kindness and generosity for transporting his extremely high quality Maynard rifle collection to the match and for providing time for an informative and educational Q & A session.  " Thank you, Allen, "

I hope we can do it again sometime !

 Gentlemen --- I'd like to offer the following photographs of some really nice Maynard examples which were displayed and used at the Maynards match in Thurmont, Maryland during "The Maryland Maynard Man's Match" this past Saturday;

10 March 2015

Spring is on its way and there has been expressions of  a second match.  In my case, it would constitute a sorely needed Second Chance !
We need at least a foursome.

Webb
