My Single Shots Are Gone

Cowan's Auction was at the house today
picking up some of our single shot rifles
for their September auction. The wife and
I would like to buy a second home, and then
rent the Florida condo out to Yankee tourists  Cool

The collection was also getting too diversified,
and I have decided to stay focused on inscribed
and identified Civil War firearms.

Thus far it's been a pleasure dealing with
Cowan's. Very professional people.

So when you see some single shots at their next auction,
bid early and bid often, and help pay for
our next home  Smiley

Ballards may be weaker,
but they sure are neater!

That top one would be impossible for me to part with! What a beauty, and they all are. But that one is just so very special!

Beautiful. Wish I could afford them all. When is the auction? Would like to follow it.

Cowan's has a large 3 day firearms auction October 21-23. The catalog is on their website but it looks to be in the "preliminary" stage. I would guess the catalog to be finalized in a week or two.
