Midway USA also has Meister hard cast bullets. Pretty good for plinking and casual shooting. $57 for 500 bullets in 170 gr.

Before ordering any bullets it would be wise to know your groove diameter, bullet fit is critical and Winchesters ran on the large side compared to todays standards. I might also add I have not seen hard cast bullets providing match quality accuracy if that is your planned use.

Since he said right off that he's not shooting matches, and only a couple hundred rounds a year, I think the hardness of the bullet is not as critical as it might be for competition shooters. The hard bullets might even be less prone to leading for casual shooting.

I apologize, I missed the casual part Val but bullet fit still should be taken into consideration even for the hard cast as leading could become an issue and the gentleman will have some money invested hopefully for something that will work.

You can't get better and there is a good chance they will fit your Winchester. Also you can order the weight that you want.

Yes! I totally agree on bullet fit. Even casual shooting isn't fun with an undersized bullet!
