Another modified Maynard, or the same one ?

I came across this gem in an upcoming Morphy gun auction.
It seems to resemble one that crossed the auction block earlier this year ??? Huh
Seller says it's in 35-30.

It has been discussed on here before. It has the weird lever with a latch that hooks into the trigger plate.

I wasn't sure it was the same one as before.
The auctions are only about 2 hours apart, so I guess it's making the rounds .

  Graduate  ---
That appears within a high degree of certainty to be the identical Maynard that was offered at auction sale in Pennsylvania and which I examined closely and evaluated for a possible purchase.

I will review the current auction listing when I get some free time and check the identifiers that I took away from the Fall 2013 auction viewing.

Thanks for bringing this Maynard up for discussion.

CMM,
I wish I had access to better photos, but what you see is all the auction house had online.

I found the listing at Morphy's site.  They have it "spec'ed" at 20 inch barrel and 35-30 chamber.

The 20 inch barrel is the one I saw at Wherley's, but then, it was stated to be a 38 Cal, when in fact they didn't know and simply guested it at .38.

It's 99.95 % the same Maynard that we all talked about when Wherley's had it.  As a matter of fact, it was your original posting that prompted me to go and look at it and I was a willing buyer until I saw the converted finger lever.

This time the opening bid is just $200.00.

See ya,   Smiley

  Hi Graduate ---

You are a fan of Ed Maynard and I wanted to ask you if you may be interested and available to shoot at the C.S.V. match in Thurmont, Maryland on Saturday 02 August 2014.

I seem to recall from your earlier post that you possibly may be within driving distance of Thurmont, near Frederick, Maryland.

Thanks for the invite.
Yes I'm within driving distance and am fairly familiar with the area.
(Was just down in Mt.Airy and picked up two vintage Brit motorbikes- a 1960 Royal Enfield Constellation, and a nice 1975 Triumph T-160 Trident.)
I will have to see what is going on around that time; I may be able to steal away and partake of some the fellowship and comraderie .
Regards,
G.P.
