Irascible,

It's embarrassing when my ignorance is pointed out to me.  My apology to Lyman is in order.  Thanks for the tip on the thermostat adjustment.

To borrow a quote, "I must like guns.  I shoot my mouth off all the time."

Any 20# bottom-pour lead pot.
Or, mount a 10# bottom-pour over another 10# bottom-pour so you always have hot lead to add to the bottom pot.
I loved my RCBS, but the cost is outrageous now, so I would probably just go with a Lee and buy new heater elements if it burned out.
Use an old cast iron pot for smelting and keep only clean lead in your pots.

There is NO lead vapor to be concerned about. If you put your nose right above the pot and somehow didn't burn yourself, the air would contain 0.00007% lead, at most. Fluxing vapors are a concern and you need good ventilation.

I like the Lyman Mag Dipper pot. It is a 20# pot and has a thermostat.

Thanks for all the replies. I was leaning toward a Lee #20 pot, so I will have to see who has the best deal now.
