And I've got a .257" groove barrel that came to me chambered for .25 Stevens RF !   Grin

What was going on back there in Chicopee Falls, anyway?

Tung buried Deeply in my Cheek and chuckling as I type:
Perhaps the Factory was involved with an April 1st Celebration when your barrel was chambered and marked?
Still chuckling even though I have not been able to get the Computer with the Drawings and AutoCAD 2000 program cleaned up to operate for a month so far.

The .25 caliber Ideal Mold is adjustable and neat. Also very expensive when you find one. More of a collectable I think.

For those interested:  There is an auction on Ebay for a 1885 Winchester Low wall half Octagon/half round barrel (380925366299) that is marked as Rebored and Chambered by "J. Stevens A. & T. Co." to .25 Stevens.  the auction has 10 hours left so look soon if interested.

Best Regards,
Chev. William

The auction Closed. the Barrel went for $199.99 plus shipping and packaging fee.
