Anyone recognise this cartridge?

Just bought an addition to the collecton, but a collection is nothing without ID. The Mauser-looking 'A'-base cartridge with the Epsilon in one of the quarters made me think in the shop: "Ah! Greek Mauser - if there is such a thing..." However, there doesn't seem to be such a thing...

The nearest dimensionally is the French Gras.

1886 is too early for it to be a Vickers. I'm hoping someone here will recognise the motif on the headstamp - I don't think I have a book which includes many of them.

Pic of base and another of side-view, the latter with Mk1 ·303" for comparison.

                                                                                             or

Bullet diameter approximate, and derived from measuring the bottom of the inside of the neck.
Second figure for rim thickness includes the boss behind the rim proper. (The bit bearing the headstamp.)

Sorry about the size of the pics - next time I'll reduce the dimensions as well as the content. (taken with DSLR and macro lens - rendered OK on my box...

Looks to me to be the 11 mm Mylonas, the Greek version of the French Gras cartridge.  That sample was made by G. Roth in Vienna, Austria.

Used in the Mylonas rifle, a falling block single shot something like a Comblain but with a big exposed hammer.  Hammer was in center of action, not a side hammer.  The picture I saw looks a bit like a High Wall but with a very big hammer spur and an under-lever that had a knob forward of the trigger guard, like maybe you could open it with your foot, if necessary.

Thanks muchly - so Greek wasn't too far off.

It's not the only thing I have which was made by Herr Roth in Steyr. I thought the motif was familiar...
