Bought a bunch of 22 hornet brass at auction. Mostly super speed (Winchester) stamped. Some rem-umc and w-w. A few odd brass like S A corp (Savage) from before WW2. Peters, WRA, and Super-X round out the last few. 

Got me to wondering. Some brass has 22 hornet and others just hornet. Was there a name change at some point? What year would brass stamping have changed by adding the 22?

Thought if nothing else the non 22 marked brass would be good for that 25 hornet I always wanted to build.
