IIRC, there was a saying around the time of VN that went something like "just because you are paranoid does not necessarily mean that someone is not out to get you".

I think the view that the demand & hoarding bubble will pop is hyper-optimistic.  You have to assume that normal & conventional rules of commerce will continue to control the transfer of the subject stuff between individuals.  I live on the Left Coast, where folks are already working on ways to end such practices.

What I tell my kids at every family gathering is that the stuff is only going to be worth more. We have 3 more years of BO and then 8 of Hillary.  By the end of that time, even transfer or ownership of the subject matter may be illegal.

No garage sales. No estate sales.  Sell only 1 on 1, for cash or barter, no paperwork & only sell to people you know & trust.

What is this 8 of Hillary Crap?

Unless EVERYONE who is center-right, gets behind and votes for our eventual candidate, we will indeed have 8 years of Hillary.
Remember, there are only 8 states in play for the '16 presidential election, the rest are already either majority red or blue. We need to win those 8.

There are indeed two Americas. Simply put, it is not the haves and have nots. The two Americans are in reality divided into those who do and those who don't.

A little 'Heresy' to discuss.

Here are some photos of my resizing methods that I use for forming replacements for obsolete Cartridges, particularly .250" Caliber and .32 Caliber RF/CF cases:

(You need to Login or Register to view media files and links)
This is the .250" diameter Drill Rod  Expander Punch with ,from left to right, An expanded Hornet case, a Trimmed and partially resized Case (.250ALS length), and a full length resized case before turning the displaced Brass roll off above the Rim or turning the rim down to .25ACP diameters.

(You need to Login or Register to view media files and links)
Shown is the 3/16 ID Fender washer used to space the case pu on the pocket swage punch, the Stripper Cup that goes over the punch, and the RCBS Small Primer Pocket Swage punch installed in my RCBS JR-3 Press.

(You need to Login or Register to view media files and links)
Shown is the setup in place in the Press with the .25ACP Lee Carbide Sizing Die in the top, and a partially resized case on top of the 'washer=stripper cup-swage punch combo on the Ram.

(You need to Login or Register to view media files and links)
This photo shows, from Left to Right, a .250ALS Cartridge (loaded with small rifle primer, 9.0 grains of 3Fg Goex, and a 50 grain FMJ RN bullet (this is one of a lot of cartridges I loaded to provide my Gunsmith with Test Cartridges for a Stevens 1894 Favorite in .25 Stevens that he is upgrading with stronger pivots and reworking a spare Breech Block form RF to CF, the .250ALS case uses the .25ACP rim dimensions, which work in the Stevens Chamber), a 'standard' .25ACP case, a partially reformed Trimmed Hornet case, and a Full length sized .25 Stevens/.250ALS case before turning the displaced Brass

The above post's photos seem to have disappeared as they no longer display.  And the post is near limit size so cannot be added to. Edit of 20140510 Chev. William
The photos are back again 20140531 Chev. William

The above post on forming .25 Stevens/.250ALS cases is given as the finished case with the Hornet rim will go into a .25 Stevens RF chamber as made by J. Stevens A. & T. Co. although the Hornet rim is .010" thicker and at .350" diameter just enters the Rim Rebate.

These cases as formed are CF but can be machined to accept a .22 Caliber Blank or a .22 Caliber Powder Tool Load instead.  Both versions have been tested by others (see Thread on .32 Extra Long RF loading).
From what I have measured, it seems the Stevens RF firing pin would strike either a .22 or a .25 RF rim from the same position in the Breech Block.  .32 RF is a different position.

.25 Stevens Chambers I have tried, all will position .25ACP by the Rim of the case so a CF conversion would use these .25 Stevens Short equivalents.  the Stevens cartridges seem to be listed at 23,000psi Maximum Average Peak Pressure so the 17,405psi rated .25ACP is well within Stevens pressure limits.  The original loading for the .25 Stevens used 10 to 11 grains of Black Powder behind a 67 grain Bullet and reportedly developed about 1200fps MV.
A lighter Charge and a lighter Bullet should give similar MV results.

Best Regards,
Chev. William

Who do you think is paying the overtime costs to be able to run 24-7 to try to keep up with the demand? If the manfactures did not put profits first they would be long gone. When is the last time you have seen liability insurance, operating costs and employee benifits go down or for that matter remain the same for an extended period of time. They have the same problems we have trying to survive with the never ending increasing costs that make hard to survive. When is the last time you have seen the cost of brass go down the main componet for primers and brass. We live in the present not in the past and life will indeed get more expensive as time goes by and there isn't no stopping it or we would have leveled off a long time ago.

The only things you left out were inflation and the decreasing value of the dollar.

The Cost to the consumer of food, Fuel, and Taxes are not included in the the Calculation of "Cost of Living" by the Federal government so the 'increases' they calculate are NOT real World numbers.

Tooling update:  I bought a Used RCBS "RC" reloading press for $30.00 and after cleaning the 'crud' and surface rust off the Ram, I "C"-Clamped to my Table and tried forming some expanded neck .22 Hornet brass down to .25 Stevens body diameter.  This press does it in one cycle all the way to the top of rim, although I have to rise off my chair for the last bit of ram lift.  Much quicker than doin g the forming with my older "JR-3" press, which took multiple cycles of the press, and screwing the die down 1/6 turn at a time until I could get the case in all the way to the top of rim.
I think I am going to like this "RC" press.
Best Regards,
Chev. William

Don't forget the costs of govt. regulations (at all levels) that are increasing every day. Complying with the ever-increasing regulations is a big burden on virtually all businesses.
