New to me Stevens 44 1/2

Bought a Stevens 44 1/2 last weekend in Tulsa. It's a 32-40 with a 27 1/2 barrel. Slugged the bore, it has a bore diameter of approx .316 and a groove diameter of .324. Looks like new mold time. Twist is 1:16 which isn't going to stabilize very long bullets. The front of the frame is marked 00 and the serial # is 11119. Can anyone tell me what the 00 marking means and when this gun was built. It is in excellent condition and I plan on shooting it soon.

If these numbers are on the front of the action under the barrel, they indicate MOST time the model. I think "00" is a ladies model if memory serves me right.

He's referring to a different marking on the receiver--the meaning of which nobody has figured out, as far as I know.
