I use a 260 grain cast bullet with GOEX 3f from a Colt clone so I imagine the load you have from a rifle will produce similar results, meat in the freezer.

Plenty of power trajectory is flat enough to 100 plus. Lever Silhouette lot of guys shoot 45 Colt Carbines in the Pistol Caliber class to 100 Meters. Some use it in the full rifle class to 200 Meters with less than good results.

You can hit them with the 45 Colt at long distance and they can knock over a ram, but it's not as effective as other calibers. Look at NRA Lever Silhouette results. Rare to see a 45 Colt do well in the full distance match to 200 yards.  38/55 and 30/30 generally win the match. Lot of that is the rifles used, Your long Uberti is a rifle not a carbine like most of the Pistol Caliber Rifles. It's a much better tool for the job.

Pistol Caliber match I use a Marlin 38/40 rifle, 24 inch barrel, very effective at 100 Meters, better than the 32/20 Carbine I used to use. Our Club 200 yard matches it would be a handicap compared to a 38/55 . Have shot it often 200 practice never wanted to give up prize money using it in the monthly club match. Pistol Caliber is a pistol caliber suffers against a rifle.

Having said all that bring it down to Fairfax Va or Montpelier Va have a go at our Rams, might change my mind
