H.B.N. (HEXAGONAL Boron Nitride ) bullet coating

i HAVE RECENTLY started experimenting with HBN (HEXAGONAL Boron Nitride ) coating that David Tubb the long Range shooter is promoting. It is a powder and used in a tumbler inside containers similar to the Moly application . My best results have been without BB 's added to the containers with both Jacketed and lead (pre-lubed) bullets. I Tumble lead only 1/2 hr. and jacketed about 4 hr. It is sticking well on cast , especially in the lube groove area , I havent heard much from others , but I am pleased with the results so far, especially with cast . I have leading issues with many antique guns and hope that this coating will alleviate that problem, so far so good , but lots more testing needed. I used to use pre- mollied bullets for 6 PPC B/R and know that it extends cleaning requirements (from 12 shots to 50) without drop in accuracy, and could shoot an entire match instead of cleaning each relay. Also I am convinced that it extended barrel life. This new HBN coating is supposed to be slicker and cleaner and I have great expectations .
Any others trying this HBN or other powder coatings to make a slick barrier to prevent chronic leading or jacket fouling ?

I just ordered 4Oz to try in a long range rifle that i resently aquired. But i'm still 2 months+ from real actual experiense of my own.

I plan to apply the hBN in the small bowl from a Lyman 1200/600 set.
So no steel pellets and tumble the "snot" out it for 4 hrs and i'm good?

It has been here for years but still quality info is scarse!
I find that odd.
Are the long range folks "scared" that it might be another MoS2 "miracle"?

Well so far thats what I am doing,( inside pill bottle containers nestled in the regular corncob media) and finding it sticking varies with different manufacturers jackets. The ones that dont appear to stick may have a good very thin coating as some suggest online . I would like to see with good magnification . I am in testing mode. My initial goal is to get a barrier down in antique rifle bores  to protest against leading  I would say results are encouraging, but not conclusive yet. It certainly is harming nothing so far .I believe to be eliminating leading so far, but more guns to test.  I am also testing out jacketed with good results. My initial intentions here are to preserve and prolong good antique softer  bores improving accuracy at 300 M with the benifit of using jacketed at low velocities (1400 - 2000 fps)
I intend eventually this summer testing in a modern 6ppc HV class Bench gun,  and also spraying HBN aresol spray on the exposed lead bullets of Target 22 rimfire ammo
I am looking forward to the warmer weather to be doing the process outdoors,  as some say the addition of sun heat improves the adhesion, and will be more pleasant and free of mess done outside

If it is like Moly you will not be preserving that old barrel but in a collectors eyes ruining it.

I think you mean the rusting issue . When using Moly you have to clean with proper solvent and kroil ,JB every 100 rounds. If stored properly by leaving a  film of Kroil in bore no problem When maintained properly Moly is your friend
But apparently this HBN does not attract moisture, which makes it even more appealing
