Finally got enough sun to snap a couple pictures.
Action, forestock/palm rest, rear sight was all I had. CPA carved my wood and supplied the butt plate. Front sight is an Axtell globe. Barrel is a RKS gain twist in 12L14. Weighs 13 pounds. John King did the rest.
Joe.

Would be happy to make a trade for my .25-20 SS Stevens 44. She looks nice and I know she shoots too.
Who did the checkering? Did CPA also supply the wood or was that some of your own stuff you have been hiding?

A lady with back trouble. That's all I know. She matched the checkering perfect. She done good.
Noodle 2. Yes, the wood is out of my pile. Still have 950 + blanks. Will bring some to Tommy's. How many do you want? Buy now, inflation you know.
Joe.

Oh my, that wood is simply to die for! NICE job sir.
All of my single shots shoot one tiny ragged hole with cast bullets ... it's just the following shots that tend to open up my groups

Nice rifle, Joe. I like it. Like Dave, I'll trade you a 44 for it, too but, I'll throw in a bullet mold

Looks great, Joe!
Thanks for posting the pictures!

Glad you all like it. It holds real nice. The bore has a mirror finish.
John, the brass palm rest has been on the rifle a long long time, and that's how I got it. Could replace it with a reproduction Stevens set. Eh... I'll just leave it as is. Gives it a "been used" look.

It's beautiful Joe! Was just going to ask where you got the palm rest, but I see it's been on it for awhile. It sure looks good together!
