Auction # 395952938

Looks like the M&K that was posted in 'Single Shot Rifles' section back in December.  Same .40-70 caliber and 29.5" barrel length too,....hmmmm?  Anyway, 18 photos shown for those of us who can only afford to collect the photos of rare weapons.

The scale dovetailed into the barrel is seen on old target rifles. 

Here's one on a A Wurfflein percussion rifle.

Just an index for tapping the front sight L/R for windage regulation ???  it'd be a PITA for frequent adjustment. 
I've seen a few old perc. schuetzens and a couple early Euro-BCP SingleShot "stalking rifles" that has a little indexing point or mark on the sight base dovetail and a series of little marks chiseled into the barrel

A PITA??? Why?

I do it, it's very simple and easy.  Of course you must actually use tour eyes body and a tool. Lol!
