Frank I went through 10 cases to get through the last match due to swelling at the web. I was using one case so every time I had to change a case I had to go back to the sighter as the point of impact changed. I just barely made it through the second target prior to running out of time and all though my first target was a 249 I still had more verticle than I liked but I could not go up on the charge to get it down to what it should be and that was a problem I had from day one. Prior to the last outing I shortened the base of the sizing die to get as close to rim as is possible and I thought I hit pay dirt. Long story short it is getting re-chambered next month and I might also mention I had the same issues with the 33RKS Schuetzen, I couldn't get into the 1475 avg. fps range where it shines so it is also long gone.

John,
Who's cases are you using? I'm using Remington in my 33 Elco Max. I'm out of #9 so, I went out yesterday and tried some of your 300MP and took my 242 gr bullet up to as high as 1519 fps (14.5 gr) w/o any case problems. All the shooting I did in Modesto, I only used 1 case. when I built the rifle I only made 8 cases (lost 2 when making them) some need to be resized but, they have all shot many rounds before they were tight. I'm still shooting 4 of the 8 and I've not resized any yet.

I also have some Federal plated cases but, haven't tried them yet but have run fullhouse loads with them in my DW revolver.
