Trying to figure out my martinis too

I too have two different cadet (small) martinis.  The 1st is a bsa target rifle with parker hale sights.  I think someone put a new pistol grip stock on it becuase it is poorly shaped.  The forend is a target forend with all the bells and whistles. (I don't know what you call them.) The rifle has BSA markings and says .22 long, but is chambers and fires LR well.  It does not have a cocking indicator like my surplus BSA cadet has.

I saw the reference below to the BSA site and all it did was confuse me. Sad  So is there an easy way to tell?  Serial numbers? orother markings.  I haven't taken the BSA target rifle apart yet to see markings.  The cadet is apart and being converted to .357 magnum, new stock etc.

Thanks for the help,

Jerry

I tried there and either I am dense, the website is still under construction or my browser is not compatible with it.

Jerry,

I just tried the links using both  Safari and Google Chrome, the only ones I have, and they worked for me.

I think it must be your browser.

Try rimfirecentral.com in the martini section. If they can't tell you what it is, it doesn't exist. Frank

A picture or more information would help. Without cocking indicator it would be post WW II and maybe an International Match Rifle. 22Long was what the British marked 22 LR rifles as. Does the SN have a prefix (R or P)? Any marking on the sides of the receiver?
