This is some sad news.  I "talked" with Michael a few times via email and had an invite to look at his collection and talk guns the next time I was in Anchorage.  He seemed like a real nice fellow.  Too bad he had to leave.

Brent on the Double Gun forum said it well. In the last year we have lost Michael Petrov, Joe Hartz, and Whitey Hanson among others. All gentlemen and great sources of information. Been a tough year. We miss them all.

It might be a bit premature to ask but does the Petrov family plan on continuing to sell his books ?
I know of several who had planned on buying Vol. 2 from him but just hadn't got it ordered yet.

I understand from the Doublegunshop Forum that information will be forthcoming on this subject after presumably Michael Petrov's Interment and perhaps a suitable period of mourning.
