argie1891,

There is just something about a 32-40 in a Stevens or CPA that infectuious! The bug bite me about 3 years ago and I'm having a ball with them. Have a Stevens 44, a 44 1/2, with two barrels, and a Browning Winchester low wall converted to 32-40 by Lee Shaver. As a matter of fact I'm heading to CPA today to pick up the second barrel for my 44 1/2 in 32-40. Paul and Gail are very nice people to deal with and they have a fine product.
I'm sure that your new CPA 32-40 will be a pleasure!

Argie,
May I also suggest that you have Paul drill a fifth scope mount hole in the barrel so you can use his scope mount and a modern scope.  I just mounted a Leupold scope on my CPA and am very happy with it.

Argie do you know what the groove dia. of your barrel will be. I know Gail had some Douglas Barrels that were running on the small side .319, .319 1/2. I returned your PM but don't want to sell you a mould that might be to big and might not work very well. If you don't happen to know the size you might want to give her a quick call and ask and send me a PM.

JLouis

If I'm not mistaken, the sporting butt stock has more drop then the silhouette stock.  The silhouette stock allows for a taller rear sight for long range shooting.  I have the sporting stock on my center fire CPA and it fits me very well but then again, I like/need a stock with a lot of drop.  The 52 stock has even more drop.
