Thanks for the responses.
I have purchased a Forster trimmer, holders, and pilots from a member here.
After looking at them all, I think the Forster will do the most of my needs for the least of my money.
I'll find out soon.
Thanks again,
Dave

when I have to trim a lot off each case I mark with a felt tip pen and cut them off close in my metal lathe. then I use a lyman trimmer in my drill press. I used Forester and lyman bench models for a long time, but if you have access to a metal lathe it only takes a second or to and you have them cut close to the correct length.

if you think you have it figured out  then you just dont understand

When working with my 45-70 and 40-65 BP guns, I noticed I was getting slightly different length cases when trimming with my Forster. I tracked down the problem which was caused by a difference in rim diameter used in a collet type trimmer. This caused a slight difference in case position and trim length. I switched to a new RCBS which indexes off the FRONT of the rim giving identical trim lengths. So my recommendation would be to avoid collet type trimmers. It's also a lot faster, even without the motor drive. Although I installed an allan screw where the crank used to be and use a bit in my electric screwdriver to turn it.
