Looks like a period made clone.  All the major features are different. It's a lot of work making that gun and the Cal is undetermined.

Not a Hepburn.  I think Joe was right when he said a Cole.  If not Cole, then another of the lesser known makers of the 1880s (+/-).  It's time to get out all 5 volumes of Grant.

I have no way of knowing if the barrel on this gun can be salvaged but I would think the action alone would be worth $500. I think it will bring more than that but I have been wrong before. I remember the time when you could buy a nice Hepburn for $100. They were never very popular.

I agree Long Range, its not trash.  ~ I like looking at the Rodney Storie Frontier Armory dream sheet. If I only knew, I would have bought Sharps 74 kits.
