Probably more cost/time effective to seel the rod and buy the media Smiley

Joe,
How are you cutting that up? I'm thinking a food processor might work. Grin

Just adds more fun tacking those short pieces together.

Jeff,

You just reminded me of a fella that wanted to know of a quick way to get rust off a long magazine tube spring.
I told him he could do a quick dip in acid and then hose it off, or he could take a wire brush to it.
The minute my back was turned, he flipped the switch on the bench grinder with the wire wheel and ended up with a chore-boy faster than he ever thought possible.
