Greetings to all,

There is a luber/sizer in the photo on the far left side that I believe is an old Ideal, or Lyman Ideal. Does anyone know when they stopped making the luber/sizers like the one on the far left? It still works great.

Best I can tell you is that the Model 45 (the one you speak of) is in the Lyman manual #43 (1967) and the Model 450 is in the #44 manual dated 1970.

Attached is a picture of the Ideal lubresizer. I don't know when they quit making it. I suspect it was the late forties

Never seen one like that black one.

When did Ideal and Lyman merge?

All of my single shots shoot one tiny ragged hole with cast bullets ... it's just the following shots that tend to open up my groups Wink ...

Ballards may be weaker,
but they sure are neater!

I have a couple of the early black Lyman lubrisizers, and use one of them occasionally. They work well, but the sideways mounted handle is not as easy to use as the new style handle. It's strictly a right handed guy setup for sure!
