Posted is a chamber cast from a Steigele single shot rifle (photo's not currently available). C.O.A,L. is approx. 1.313"; neck diameter is 0.346"; length of neck is 0.450"; head diameter is 0.446"; rim diameter is 0.516"; groove-to-groove diameter is 0.312". Can anyone help identify this cartridge?

Thinking 8.15X24R. Neat!

Would really have to see the entire rifle to substantiate that.  Roll Eyes  Nice crisp close ups of the engraving and sights and and............

Don't try to read it, just scroll to the second photo.

Keep going for some more interesting cartridge photos.

This would be 11.5mm & 13mm

If the case diameter is close to .433 (11mm) about .15 ahead of the rim, it could be the 7.5 x 36R?

interesting mix of German and French in the catalogue.  I'm wondering if the "garden" rifles were for back yard shooting or an German/French version of the English "rook" rifles.

Rocky Mtn should be able to make cases for you.  DaveC made some for an oddball metric of mine back when he operated it.  I just sent him a fresh Cerrosafe cast--but at his request I wrote the time and date I made the cast. that way he could calculate the shrinkage more precisely.  the cases fit perfectly.  They were bottlenecked on the outside with a straight walled powder chamber inside--slightly reduced capacity but not a problem at all.   Accurate Molds was able to make up appropriate bullets with no problem--even stop ring designs
