Hepburn Front Sight measurements.

On my Hepburn, I would like to replace the front sight. It now has a blade which, I think, is orginial but not sure. It's on the rough side.  Anyhow, it is not the standard 3/8" dovetail. It's something near .450 as I measure. Is that 7/16" ? If it is, does anyone make this size dovetail with a blade. I've looked at the usual places but no luck. What else could I use with the rear buckhorn sight ? Thanks. Dale.

Hello Dale ...
You could use a Beech combination front sight and it would still be correct. Buffalo Arms and MVA both make the sight with the wider dovetail you need.

C. Sharps dovetails are 7/16" I believe, and Shiloh's are .450".  I might have those reversed though.  I believe that either could sell you a front blade sight.
