looks like they might be from a Fecker or litchert scope.  but I could be wrong.  will they be for sale?

Charles, The top mount set appears to be early Lyman as made for the Lyman 5A. It has the base lockup screw on the left hand side and the front mount has the spring loaded alignment pin with a square slot for the external Pope rib that lyman went to as soon as they bought the Scope business from Winchester. The bottom set looks to me like Fecker mostly because of the appearance of the finish and also the style of knurl on the knobs. When Unertle left Fecker and went into business for himself he purchased mounts from Fecker until he was setup to make his own. And for some time the finish varied on those early efforts. Charles, on looking at them again I realised there is a spring loaded plunger missing from the Lyman set. That is a "Four Point Mount" There should be two spring plungers to keep the scope body against the adjustment screws in both planes or axis. I only see one there. The other I think is a Fecker/Unertle is later as it has the plunger loacation at 45 Degree's to load the scope against both adjustments at once with one spring loaded plunger. FITZ. Smiley

Can't identify aluminum mount, but not Fecker (which would have L-shaped pieces over ends of screws), or Unertl. There must have been bad blood between those two, because before he developed his own mounts, Unertl supplied ONLY Stevens or Lyman mounts on his scopes, never those of his ex-employer.   

That globe front sight is a Ballard.

I was hoping that the sight was a ballard since I have a rifle in need. Now I need to find some dimensions for the threaded in post since it is missing.

Thanks for the info on the Lyman. I found a manual in with the junk for the 5A. The plunger and spring "missing" was actually misplaced and in with, what I think is, the Litchert set.

Those bottom mounts have some similarities to ones I have homemade, but sort of looks like they are a casting which would indicate production. Excellent workmanship on the markings. Gadget in the center sure looks similar to a Ballard Pacific thimble.

The bottom mounts are definitely Litschert, or at least are exactly like the ones on my Litschert.

What I've learned so far ... but would love to confirm this.

Davis Target Scopes – Winchester – Indiana    
Myron Davis (Litshert's son-in-law) bought out the Litshert when Richard Litshert retired in 1961. The company went out of business in 1987.

Yes--they're exactly the same!  Marlin was getting maximum utility out of this one part.  But what makes a good thimble makes a pretty poor front sight.  I tried to shoot with mine, but it was too hard on my eyes.

From a timeline perspective I got the possibly Litchert mounts well over 30 years ago and they were in a box from unertl postmarked 1972.

The Ballard front sight thingy has a tapped hole through the base where I think a post would screw up through.

Post would be easier to see, but mine has a tiny bead.
