	Joe Western, Only thing I do to SPG lube is cut it with some sheep stick paint. Mine comes out a nice fuschia color. Anything to get away from that pus colored saffron hue of SPG. On the border with no humidity and high temps I've found that the stickier the lube is, the better. And, the more recently applied to bullets, the better. Must have something to do with residual magnetism or something. adios

	When i relube/reuse the lube with fresh bullets i just put it in the oven and set it to 75-80degC~167-176degF.

	For my part, I would love to see a side by side test using SPG, Javalina Schuetzen and that Canadian lube. Done in both hot and cold conditions. It could be very enlighting. Personally, I doubt that there would be a measurable difference overall but, one might perform better under hot and one under cold conditions. I would call those brands the top three that you can purchase. I would be interesting as, they all seem to do well Frank

Sometimes when Steve asks what I'm using for lube, I tell him SPG. Especially when I'm not in the mood for a kick in the slats. The very best lube I ever used for BP loads in hot weather was Taurak. Not available now. Went the way of steam cylinder oil. By the way, if there is anyone so bold as to attempt to make bullet lube at home, steam cylinder oil is still being made in Kentucky. 	Put your lubed bullets in a freezer. They thaw out like freshly lubed bullets. That way they will not dry out or harden. I pour my bullets in the winter because there is not enough time to cast and lube bullets when you have to go to one competition after another in the summer.

	Taurak - a town in Russia. Could it be that Taurak made by Texaco was ozokerite which can be mined in Russia? (You need to *Login* or *Register* to view media files and links) Bullshop was testing various lubes and stated that ozokerite was an ingredient in his NASA Lube. I use NASA LUBE exclusively in my reloads of Dan Theodore's Minni Groove Bullets for long range Anyway, I have a bag of ozokerite, that one of these days - will substitute the beeswax in the 40:40:(20-beeswax) lube that I use and see how it works. And also Ceresin (500 grams for 40 bucks!)

I have been told that it was used to lubricate the axial bearing on rail cars. Three versions but, It did have success as a bullet lube. I would have also used it but, couldn't find it in a small enough quanity to buy, back in the 90's. No old rail road guys on the forum to ask about it? Frank

	I had some 30 caliber gas checked bullets lubed with SPG well over 10 years ago, rarely shoot 30 cal, in fact sold off my 30 cal molds and all the Springfields but one. Loaded some for a friend and they shot just fine. Bullets were well stored not too hot not too cold no dust or dirt. Boats
