For reference, I just weighed a Buffalo Arms 324gr "money bullet" in 20:1 alloy.  It is 1.322" long and the formula predicts 1.251".  Still probably good enough for whatever you want it for Smiley
Chris.

Indeed it is. Find it to be a very accurate bullet at both 200/300yd & meters when pushed by 56gr of 2F Swiss or 58gr of 2F Goex in my rifle. The 108 of them that I cast this a.m. weighed 326+/- 0.4gr using BACo's 20-1 lead.

Frank;
Would you tell us about sample weights of the two bullets?

I weighed 15 of each, the 320366 weighed 186.6 - 186.8. The Paul Jones weighed 203.8 - 204.0. The reason the PJ is lighter than the drawing is because it is a tapered bullet and the drawing is cylinderical. The actual mixure that the weighed bullets were cast of is 22/1.

Doubting the results of this program is like doubting the results obtained in a Excel program. It is a CAD program that measures the internal volume of the bullet mold.

I doubt just about everything.
About this, I'm now just surprised. It takes a lot of grease grooves and/or a long pointed nose to get that length weight ratio.

Just a few keystrokes when drawn in 3d cad!

A mass properties inquiry of a 3d solid drawn in cad is fast.

Indeed. We build submarines, tall buildings, supersonic (and not) airplanes, bridges, etc. with the math imbedded in CAD programs. A bullet is 'child's play' in comparison.
