Antique priming tool ? What do you think ?????

Hi All,
If you have a moment, check out ebay item # 300983036588
It's being offered as a rare US marked priming tool.
Some things about this raise a question mark:
As near as I can tell from the photos, the pin that pushes the primer in looks to have a rounded head. That doesn't seem like the ideal design for pushing in primers.
Plus, it has a long stem; much longer than would seem necessary to seat a primer.
The fine thread would also make for a lot of turning, but with plenty of mechanical force.
Then too, the openings seem very generous to handle a 45 or 50-70 cartridge.
For comparison,Winchester 1891 tools used a separate lever to seat primers; but those had a very quick thread and a short flat tip seating pin.

The thought that crossed my mind was : - government issue motorcycle chain breaker !

I believe there were early Harleys and Indians in use during WW1 and certainly WW2; so it stands to reason there were probably government issue tools to go with.

Any guesses on this item Huh ???

A chainsplitter for a motocycle?
Hold the link, insert and push out the pin holding the links together.

Peep, I vote for your idea, chain breaker. It has way to much leverage for a recapper.

Round nose on the punch - to help align to the pin (or hole) being pushed out of whatever it is in.

Doubt it's a priming tool.  I have a buddy who's very knowledgeable about WW2 US  military motorcycles.  I could run it by him if you like.
