If anybody wants to shoot their old .577 Snider, Sportsmans Guide has Boxer primer 24 Ga brass cases @ $21.79 for 25, shipping brings it up to under 32 bucks.  Sold as Magtech brand but of Brazilian mfg.  Trim to length, size (in chamber?), add black and a .58 minie ball.  I have used the Berdan primed brass by the same headstamp and it works well.  I have no economic connection to this, just passing it on.

I have used Magtech brass to form .577 Snider, and it works pretty well!
The rim is the right THICKNESS, but the junction between the rim and body isn't quite as sqare as proper rifle brass... a little filing to square it up and it fits the chamber nicely- at least MY chamber.

It's a balloon head case, so it's not good for smokeless loads, but has worked well for the 2-3 times I've reloaded 'em.

Annealing the forward end of the case makes it easier to form, but it's not too hard to do without.
