One More thing to Forget to Clean

I was looking at my dies that I use for black powder compression to figure out which I could modify best for my new 38-55 Hi-Wall and to my dismay, I discovered some serious crud and corrosion in the die.  A good soaking in WD-40 and stainless bore brush wrapped in steel wool and chucked in a drill cleaned it up just fine.  One more thing to REMEMBER to clean.

Jack, some more items to consider:
* FL sizing die
* Plug in the seating die
* If you crimp, the inside of the crimping die & plug
Might want to also take a look at the groove cut on your shell holder too.  I clean these when things don't work right  Grin

Next thing you know someone will start talking about cleaning a 22...

If your rifle is not in 7.62 and you can't hit what you are aiming at with de-linked machinegun ammo you are a pretender.

Thankfully once I got to work today the urge to clean was gone.  Whew, that was a close one Smiley

Aside from cleaning all those things mentioned by JohnBoy, if you have a safe, store all you metallic gun stuff in it.  Along with a 40w Golden Rod you'll never have to clean rust from that stuff again, provided you pay your monthly energy bill.

If there's room for anything in your gun safe besides guns, then you seriously need more guns.  If the walls are lined with safes and the floor joists sag a little and all the stocks are stacked on top of the safes because all that will go inside are the barreled actions, then you are getting close.
