Weihrauch HW52 in .22lfb (another)

Here is a recent (last week) import, a Weihrauch HW52.   With a Hensold-Wetzlar diopteroptic.     This is my third and was easy to strip down for a clean and re-oil (one night).

It was obtained from Luchow in a BKA (German seizement?), however, no BKA stamp.

I had never seen one before Chucks first HW 52  Handling it is even better than looking. Real nice triggers.

I have several Weirauch air rifles.  They have phenomenal 2-stage triggers.  I guess they use a variant in the rimfire also??

I have one. Hate the trigger. Go figure. Maybe it needs cleaning?

Joe triggers are superb on Chucks rifles. He knows them well, bet he would walk you through a cleaning

The triggers are entirely different from their (Rekord, Perfekt) triggers.

Considering these rifles were made as early as the fifties, the grease on them solidifies. cleaning them our and using a modern oil/grease (take your pick) can only make them better.

They're not an Anschutz or Feinwerkbau match rifle trigger.  But simple and can be (depending on model) a single or two stage trigger.

boats has only used the triggers after they've been completely stripped and re-oiled.

I have other posts here on disassembly, quite simple once you know what are the parts and nut sizes.   PM for assistance.

Chuck

If you have an interest in the rear sight assy (for the one that doesn't have it) … be happy to sell the one I have. Yeah, I'm shameless.

That one (with scope) actually has the original diopter.  Just not on in the photo.   Looking for the correct perioid match front sight (1952-54).
