Has anyone attempted to make 25-10 cases from the .22 Hornet case. I realize the RF to CF has to be dealt with.

Art, the Stevens 25-10 is rimfire. You can find details on Wikipedia.

25-10 is the name that Remington used and roll marked on Remington barrels that were chambered for the 25 Stevens rimfire cartridge.

I did that to a Low Wall in .25 Stevens RF.  The conversion was simpler than most since it consisted of temporarily putting in a center fire breech block.

You will need a ring die to swage the base of the .22 Hornet cases down.  I made one of a piece of tool steel with a hole the size of a .25 RF case and just forced it over the Hornet cases in a vise.  The rim size is OK without modification; at least the rim seat in my rifle took the Hornet rims.  I trimmed to length and used the Ideal 257420 sized down to .251" for the bullet.

It didn't take much Unique to open those primer pockets up, but it  did work the way it was supposed to.  The bore of the Low Wall was so bad I eventually had it relined, and converted to a .25-20 center fire.  You can load that round down to any .25 RF level without all the hassle, but if your bore is original and pristine, it is the way to go if you want to preserve the original barrel.
