My Minne's are .575 too.  Muskets varied widely bore size.  Bullet .002 under is the modern practice. Civil war not so specific. Thing about the Minne is it bumps up to fit.

            If you are a skirmisher, or hope to be one, consider the RCBS "Hodgdon" minie which, for me, was the decided winner during the process of elimination.  

           That means I would only sell you my un-used Lyman mould if you signed a waiver saying that I revealed the RCBS preference in advance.  Smiley

P.M. The RCBS folks call that bullet the "North-South Skirmish Bullet" and it is available in either 0.576", .578", .580" & (.584")
