Swiss Caviar Granulation Black Powder

We are getting ready to make a "supply run" shortly for replenishment of black powder.  We predominantly use Swiss brand for BPCR shooting, but inventory the less expensive brand for hunting and long rifle "woods walks", rendezvous, club matches, etc.

I am aware that Swiss Powder Co. has either commenced, or is about to commence, a powder processing method that produces, what I will call a pelletized granulation, as opposed to the more traditional nugget granulation.

There has to be a reason supporting such a decision by Swiss, and hopefully, that reason is based upon proven advantages found in the caviar granules.

Can anyone enlighten me with additional facts about the current Swiss black powder known as caviar granulation.  Many thanks for your information provided.

Looking at the photos out there I can see two advantages:

1. Uniform granualtion size
2. No fines

I searched German language site but cannot find any mention of the caviar granulation.

If your rifle is not in 7.62 and you can't hit what you are aiming at with de-linked machinegun ammo you are a pretender.

Gentlemen, for more information on the Swiss granulation that I have mentioned above, please see;

       (You need to Login or Register to view media files and links)

I have read more from that web site, and apparently, if and when it is introduced to the U.S. it will not be until further into the summer.

I will be making my B.P. buy next week so I will proceed with that and maybe consider the new Swiss granulation after someone else speaks well of it.

I never tried it, but on the Shilo Sharps Rifle Forum there has been quite a discussion.  One shooter noticed it isn't as shiny as the Sad regular Swiss..less graphite coating or polishing?  he did go on to say the powder is very hydroscopic..clumping badly on humid days, and spilled powder in loading trays stained cases black.  Lets hope the Swiss haven't caved to the "bottom line" and went to a cheaper mfg. method at expense of quality.
