Remington Hepburn No.3 Match Rifle

I took some photos a few weeks ago of my Remington Hepburn rifle and thought I would share.  From the Remington Arms Co 1902 catalog, I believe this is a "A Quality" No.3 Match Rifle.  It has a 32" half-octagon barrel with no provision for a rear sight, pistol grip, checkered, nickel-plated Swiss butt plate, case-hardened frame, Beach combination front sight and Lyman rear tang sight.  It is chamberd for 32-40 Ballard and Marlin.  My favorite feature of this rifle is its pencil thin barrel.  The bore is mint.

With a barrel that long is it set up for the supine position?  I've long wondered how anyone ever used that position but it seems that some amazing scores at very long ranges were shot that way.
