That's a beautiful original Model 45, Mike.

They were no frills target rifles or high end hunting rifles. Is that a #4 barrel?

I see it has scope blocks, have you shot it much?

I have a 44/45 that I built for my wife in 32/20.

Mike, beautiful rifle. Still looking for a .25-25. Don't see double set triggers a lot.

Got it!!, Paul Shuttleworth installed the barrel over 30 years ago, I did the wood (with checkering) & the metal finishing,(hot water rust blue & propane torch color case. Won lots of matches with it & it's still a winner.    Enjoy!    ...MIKE...

'gifs' are little 30-60 second videos.  They are looped so they show the same action over and over.  Most of them, of course, tend to be either cartoons or girls jiggling but the one I wanted was a scene from Citizen Cane where Orsen Welles is applauding in his evening dress.  Very cool.

Mike did you give up shooting matches and if so what created the loss of interest.

Frank,The barrel on the #45 is marked under the foreend tip 1, but measures about 1 1/16"at the breech & 7/8" at the muzzel (1/2 round). If you'll look at the last photo of the #49, the barrel you see at the bottom is a #5 full octagon, 32" long & marked #2.                John, I'll never give up shooting, I've given up driving. When I worked I drove all over the L.A. area. Then, most of the guys I shot with are gone, Dean Lillard, Don Duff, Wes Miller, Kenny Fox, Bo Clerke, Bill Bieber, & on & on. Del Zura or Modesto's drive don't turn me on & nobody here wants to do anything. I still shoot 1 or 2 times a month. I'd like to sell out & move to Black Canyon.Az. but the wife (of 50+ years, white broad) can't take the heat.         ...MIKE...

Frank, Slumlord, Joel, Thanks for the complements. Truth is,when I received the rifle, the butt was split from the top of the grip to the top screw of the butt plate & whoever fixed it used horse hoof cement, then drilled another mount hole for the top b/p screw. I cleaned it up & repaired it properly with an epoxy, put the screw back where it belonged & welded & brazed the Parkenfarker hole.     ...MIKE...
