In Match 1 yours truly came within one point of setting a new record on the any sight bench match, 954-12C is a good score and my personal best, Dave Palecek still reigns as King though, but he‘s looking over his shoulder. Jerry Stordahl shot a respectable 905-4C on the Iron sight bench match, good shooting Jerry. We had only one entry for the offhand match; Gordy posted a 702, had weather been better I would have like to have shot this on Sunday. Next, what can we say??? Terry just keeps raising the bar higher………….he broke his old record having set a new one with a 962-12C! Good shooting! Art was our only entry in the Iron sight rimfire match.
Lastly are our two new matches: The cash Matches. Gordy shot a 224 in Match 1.1 winning a purse of $20.00. The next is remarkable, Dave Newell has been bringing his grand daughter Grace Dick to the matches as of late. This little gal is beginning to get pretty good. She brought one of her score targets in to me sporting a wide smile. She pretty well blew the center out of the thing. I looked at her and asked if she could spread the shots out a little so I could score her target easier. She gave me a puzzled look, I returned it with a smile and a wink saying you did just fine Gracie! That is what it is supposed to look like. She shot a 243-3C on Match 6.1, she won a cash purse of $34.00. Good shooting Gracie!!! Keep your eyes on this gal.
