.40-63 Ballard Ball seating tool

I'd like to make up a replica Ballard bullet seating tool to go with my Pacific .40-63 (the bore was gone so I had it relined & rechambered to the original .40-63).  I have photos from Dutcher's Ballard book (pgs. 318-320) to use as a guide but I'd be really grateful if someone with an original could do a rough sketch with the basic dimensions. I'll use the same reamer that cut the chamber so the fire formed cases should be a good fit. Thanks

I can get you the dimensions from one of those, but I'm traveling now and won't get back until this weekend.

Spud,

PM me a mailing address so I can mail you a drawing on graph paper....also a fax # so's I can send something right away. My scanner will not work with this graph paper - the lined grid goofs up its auto-size feature.

xtm,

I don't have access to a FAX machine, but I would surely appreciate a copy of that drawing, distortions notwithstanding, as long as I can read the dimensions.  My e-mail is

          gfrog53 AT yahoo DOT com

Thanks in advance if you can help me out here!

Regards,
Froggie

Mr. Frog,
The issue with my scanner at home is not distorsion...the gridlines on the graph paper fool the scanner into thinking the darker 1" lines are the edge of the drawing and it only scans a small portion...  Angry

I'll take it down to the office one day this week and see if I can get that scanner to work.

Spud,

I got the scanner working for Mr. Frog and sent him a pdf file of my pencil drawing. PM me an email address and I'll sent it on to you.
